Hub
One connected digital home for the business.
Meet the person behind HubMarketeer
I’m Johan De Brauwer—husband, father of two sons, lifelong learner and founder of HubMarketeer. I help entrepreneurs move beyond disconnected digital tools and towards a hub they can understand, own and grow.
A thoughtful first step. No mandatory sales call.
A family changed my view of the future
Around the birth of my first son, more than a decade ago, I began looking at my professional future differently. Retirement age no longer felt like an abstract point somewhere far away. My wife is younger than I am, and our children would still be young when I reached that stage of life. The question became very real: what would the next chapter look like, and how could I continue to provide, contribute and build a meaningful future with my family?
That realisation became the starting point for a career switch. My professional background was—and still is—in other industries, so digital marketing and online entrepreneurship were not a continuation of an established career. They were a new direction I chose to study and build deliberately.
Like many people entering the online-business space, I first encountered attractive promises about freedom, simplicity and the so-called laptop lifestyle. Reality was far less polished. There were failed attempts, disappointing programmes, information overload and moments when stopping would have been the easiest decision.
Those experiences taught me that a sustainable business is not created by collecting more tools, chasing every new tactic or expecting one programme to do the work for you. It requires judgement, consistent action and a foundation that connects the moving parts.
The setbacks did not become proof that building online was impossible. They became a reason to understand the foundations better.
Long-term learning over short-term hype
Around 2016, I found a mentor whose hub-centred view of digital business gave me a more coherent direction. I continued learning, observing, testing and investing time in understanding how positioning, content, customer journeys, community, follow-up and technology can work as one system.
That journey did not turn me into someone who claims to have every answer. It made me more careful about questions, dependencies and promises. It shaped the HubMarketeer method: define the real business outcome, understand the moving parts, build in controlled stages and keep the entrepreneur involved in the decisions that matter.
Johan’s mentor is Vick Strizheus. References to eStage or its education describe the ecosystem Johan works with; they are not a claim that every programme, service or result belongs to HubMarketeer.
From scattered tools to one connected home
Websites, funnels, email, bookings, content, products and communities are often added one at a time. Each can be useful, while the customer experience between them remains fragmented. The entrepreneur then spends more time managing handovers and inconsistencies than improving the business itself.
HubMarketeer exists to help turn that collection into a clearer digital foundation. Sometimes that means simplifying. Sometimes it means connecting what already exists. Sometimes it means building a new hub in stages. The goal is not to activate every feature. The goal is to create the right environment for the business, the customer journey and the owner.
One connected digital home for the business.
A practical understanding of how people discover, evaluate and move through that environment.
Bringing infrastructure and customer journey thinking together instead of treating them as separate projects.
How I want every project to feel
Create a clear, dependable base before adding more channels, tools or complexity.
Automation should strengthen a process you understand, not hide one that is unclear.
Build knowledge, systems and assets that keep the entrepreneur in control.
Separate what is proven, what is planned and what still needs validation.
Keep meaningful decisions, promises and sensitive actions under human review.
Treat every project as a source of insight that can improve the next decision and delivery.
The first flagship project is our own
Before scaling, I want to understand the complete delivery process myself: intake, strategy, content, design, implementation, integrations, quality control, handover and support. That is why HubMarketeer is being developed as the first full reference case—not as a theoretical portfolio piece.
This approach may be slower than pretending everything is already finished. It is also more useful. Every decision, checklist, boundary and lesson can improve the next build. When assistants or specialists eventually join the process, the standards will already be documented and tested.
First build the example. Then repeat what has earned the right to be repeated.

A deliberate career switch
HubMarketeer is the vehicle through which I am preparing that career switch. I am building the systems, standards and practical experience carefully before increasing capacity. The aim is to create a professional future that can remain meaningful, useful and financially responsible well beyond the boundaries of a traditional career timeline.
My family is the reason this matters so deeply. It is also why I prefer a realistic foundation over exaggerated speed. I want to understand the work, serve the first clients carefully and scale only when quality can be maintained.
